Golden Hour Girl

Please note: This piece is available to purchase on reserve, as it will be part of the Creative Soul Prints reproduction launch this October in Henley Beach, where I’ll be the featured artist. The original artwork will be ready for delivery in early November 2025.

For this piece, I chose a minimalist unfinished approach, deliberately leaving out much of the detail to draw attention to the face—because when the face is right, everything else becomes secondary. I wanted to invite a sense of ambiguity, encouraging the viewer to question certain elements: is she wearing glasses or sunglasses? Is the black background pushing forward or receding? I kept some of the grid lines visible to hint at the process behind the work. The hair is defined with fine oil stick lines, allowing structure without overpowering the vibrant background.

I love this piece and want to keep it in my home as long as possible, however also happy to deliver to the right collectors home!
